To me it remained a place where we came together as Americans. Freedom doesn’t mean we all have to agree; it means we do NOT have to agree. People are acting as though patriotism means we all have to toe the same line out of respect for the flag. Actually the opposite is true.

I still just don’t understand how someone silently kneeling is a burden on anyone. It’s only a burden if you’re judging their politics. I don’t have a problem with those who stood OR those who knelt, because both were respectful. But I do have a problem with shutting people down
