I don't think anyone should to be forced to. But pledging it as a child, hand over my heart, imbued me with an intention to MAKE it true.

No one has to pledge it. But the fact that I did, particularly as a child, makes me very sensitive to its infringement. I'm glad I did

As a child I said the Pledge of Allegiance: 1 nation under God w/liberty & justice for all. WE'RE NOT DOING WELL ON THE JUSTICE FOR ALL PART

Not all military expense is wrong, but ours is way outsized & particulrly disproportionate to amnt we spend on humanitrn & diplomatc efforts
