I appreciate that you believe that, but there is absolutely no evidence that it is true. It is just their propaganda. Huge corporate tax breaks are used mainly to increase executive compensation, almost never to increase worker wages.

There are examples in the world of a more enlightened economics, and while we can't change humanity as a whole we can work within the systems we're part of. That's what politics is: our collective decision-making in areas such as that

It's a small consolation in an immediate sense, but a huge consolation in a larger one. For me, it's fuel to keep going...simultaneously a challenge to rise up and a guarantee that it will work.

Ah, but cynicism is just an excuse for not helping. We can CHANGE what's wrong, and until we remember that we're just pawns of those who perpetrate the transgressions.

As outraged as we might be at the sight of injustice, we must remain equally excited by the possibilities for a better world that lie on the other side of it. The enlightened activist is committed because we know that the other world exists & all of us are here to bring it forth.

The reason economics is relevant to the spiritual journey is because issues of public morality are as significant as issues of private morality. What plays out collectively is as important as what plays out individually, & all of us are responsible for our part of the collective.
