Ending net neutrality is one of the biggest assaults on a democratic society that we've seen in years. If only the rich are able to afford easy access to their products, then that means those without means have limited opportunities to do business and create wealth of their own

You answered your first question with your second comment.

When gov't. is turned into the handmaiden of corporate forces, seeking to simply do their economic bidding rather than balance the effects of market forces with the protection of the common good -- as in now -- then we're in trouble.

The US has subconsciously (on the part of some) reverted to an aristocratic system, in which only some are considered entitled to a fair share of America's resources. Education, health care, and opportunities for wealth creation should belong to ALL. THAT is the American dream.

Ugh! FCC Chairman Ajit Pai set to announce end to net neutrality, the principle that all internet traffic should be treated equally. This means only those who pay more would get quick access to their sites. Call your reps asap to tell them to protect net neutrality! 202 224 3121.

Too simplistic an explanation for me. In some cases that's true and in other cases it's not.

When you think of the American men & women who have given their lives protecting us from hostile forces, the President of the United States being played by those forces seems so disrespectful to them -- to their lives, their sacrifices, and in many cases their deaths.

This would be funny if it weren't so disgusting. Real people's lives will be harmed by this bill, if it passes.
Thank you, Gary Cohn, for that lesson in why trickle-down economics is a fraud and failure. nitter.vloup.ch/nataliewsj/statu…

The girls were 14 and 16 years old, and he was a District Attorney. Who were they supposed to "report" it to? In what universe would they have been believed, much less their grievances redressed?

They've been telling him this morning, at Congressional hearings.

Not at all. I just want a fair society. And that should be a universal morality, regardless of our politics

If the accuser's stories are true (and they certainly sound it), Roy Moore didn't simply sexually harass women; he criminally assaulted little girls. And while he was a DA! Take a stand; help Doug Jones win. dougjonesforsenate.com/

Actually, we have all three. The first is frayed but still exists; the second is simply a fact; and the third is a tragic but hopefully temporary aberration.
