Happy that my sister’s book, “My Boss is the President,” is doing so well! The book discusses the wave of grass-roots efforts that swayed the last election. The success of this book shows how so much of our youth are beginning to engage with politics in TW! Congrats sis!

🌏 As a bastion of #democracy in East Asia, #Taiwan should capitalize on its potential to become a hub for conversations on #HumanRights. 📅Join me and my @NextGenTaiwan team on Dec 18 (Fri) for a screening and discussion of the award winning documentary "Kim Il-Sung's Children".
🎥 TAIPEI PREMIERE OF KIM IL-SUNG'S CHILDREN - meet the director! 📅 Friday, 12/8, 6PM 🔗 tinyurl.com/TaipeiMovie An incredible story of thousands of #NorthKorean children orphaned by the #KoreanWar whose memories linger for the elderly Europeans whose lives they briefly touched.

Thanks for sharing, Rachel. Mere days ago, I had the pleasure of witnessing @JimmyLaiApple's son collect the @RSF_eastasia's Special Prize @ Press Freedom Awards here in Taipei. The CCP is pathetic in their attempts to stifle free speech as they fear their legitimacy might wane.

No community can exist in a vacuum, and neither can any social movement. This is why even seemingly disparate movements can identify best practices for resisting a common enemy - whether materialized in the form of, say, regional hegemon, or the more ephemeral "system".

I'm overjoyed to witness your efforts to promote tâi-gí - my #mothertongue-among diverse audiences. Young Taiwanese folx-both within our archipelago&in diaspora communities-reclaiming Taiwanese as a tenet of their identity bolsters #Taiwan's intl. standing. To-siā tē-hū-á~

👋 Join me in giving a big hand to @NextGenTaiwan Non-Resident Fellow @zsuzsettte for her contribution to the widely-discussed @LePoint article "Who Will Dominate the World?" I deeply appreciate Dr. Ferenczy's commitment to promoting #Taiwan's within the #EU. 🎩Chapeau bas!
“Taipei seems to be living on a different planet” writes @Tantalite via @LePoint, w/quotes from me. He explores 2 key questions: how did #Taiwan do so well in managing the health crisis & what can Western democracies learn from the success? ➡️ bit.ly/319ZuX7 EN 🧵below

“Taking together the #Doklam, northern, and Sakteng sectors along with #Pangda village, China now claims close to 12 per cent of Bhutan’s territory.” My latest for @9DashLine on China’s village in Bhutan and Beijing’s challenge to India in the Himalayas. 9dashline.com/article/chinas…

This cover is symbolic, as it points to #Taiwan's growing power. Our successful #TaiwanModel and #TaiwanCanHelp mindset won us many friends internationally. We will surely continue to face many challenges in the post-Covid era, but for now, I envision equally many opportunities.
📍 Qui dominera le monde ? La #pandémie bouscule la hiérarchie des puissances entre l'Amérique, l'Asie et l'Europe. Le monde qui émerge est multipolaire, dangereux et instable. Aperçu des nouveaux rapports de force. ➡ bit.ly/319ZuX7

Terrible news… We have just witnessed the @RSF_inter @RSF_eastasia 2020 Press Freedom Awards at the National Central Library in Taipei, during which @JimmyLaiApple got the Special Prize. I cry over the wilting Bauhinia…
