Palau is vulnerable to environmental&social volatility which can be exacerbated by tourism, esp. in these trying times. Yet, if anyone can try out the idea of a bubble safely, it's 🇹🇼&🇵🇼; with our respective expertise in safeguarding public health&environmental sustainability.

Taiwan and Palau are natural partners for promoting #sustainability in the Pacific region. Island nations, such as our two countries, are particularly vulnerable to similar challenges. Together, we can bolster resilience of our economies and environments.

Even though #Palau doesn't make headlines everyday, it is so very important to further develop our ties with our island ally. I recognize a lot of potential in strengthening our work on combating the #ClimateCrisis;🇵🇼's environmental pledge is a great example to follow.
