In recent years, the people of #Lithuania have been speaking up in favor of providing #Taiwan a seat at the table in @WHO #WorldHealthAssembly and other #InternationalOrganization-s. I thank our 🇱🇹 allies, incl. @MatasMaldeikis @maldeikiene and others for having our back!

As a matter of fact, the histories of #Taiwan and #Lithuania share many similarities. The freedom-loving people of 🇹🇼 and 🇱🇹 shed a fair share of blood and tears while resisting #authoritarianism.
The #BalticWay also inspired the 228 Hand-in-Hand Rally in Taiwan.

🌍 #China has sought to expand its #BeltAndRoad initiative in CEE countries, incl. 🇱🇹#Lithuania, by establishing the 17+1 framework. Yet, Vilnius now mulls leaving the bloc, citing “almost no benefits” and division it creates. This is a chance for Taiwan!
