Stunningly — General Secretary Xi is correct — perhaps 13 aerial incursions a day is “showing off strong muscles or waving a big fist” a bit too much. Under the Chairman’s unswerving leadership, China should chill out, relax, and end its policy of coercion towards Taiwan. 1/3

Finally, international organizations and actors should address Xi how he would like to be addressed on his home turf — as Chairman or General Secretary. He is not an elected leader in the way that the term president connotes, and the term is not how he is addressed at home. 3/3
