🇺🇸The world looks up to the US. We have long admired their leadership, entrepreneurship&democratic values. I, myself, deeply cherish my formative years in Wisconsin. The fact that POTUS attempted an #autogolpe by enabling #terrorists to storm Capitol is beyond my comprehension.

And while I strongly disapprove of unfounded comparisons between today's riots in DC and the 🌻#SunflowerMovement in Taiwan or the 7.1 occupation of HK's LegCo, we, the Taiwanese, need to check ourselves. The temptations of populism & myths of heterogeneity destroy democracies.
