We must always strive to heal the wounds of our past. This is what drives us in our pursuit of transitional justice for #Taiwan’s #IndigenousPeoples. There is still so much we need to do, so I thank all our indigenous leaders for working with us to build a better Taiwan for all.

Taiwan is a beautiful mosaic, embracing people from many different walks of life and dissimilar backgrounds. Our archipelago-democracy needs to embrace diversity and resist the populist temptations of defining our polity as a monoethnic entity.
