Had the chance to visit AMA museum today - it is not only the extraordinary strength of “comfort women” that it pays tribute to, but so much more: it serves social education, women’s empowerment, women’s rights. Hope a new venue is found soon. Thanks for sharing @JDBHenshaw
This is a fantastic museum on the topic of #ComfortWomen or sexual slavery in #WWII, very well-presented and organized, and it is a real loss to have it shut down in November. Let’s hope Ama Museum can find another home in Taipei as soon as possible...

Also having had the privilege of working on “comfort women” in European Parliament & meeting a Korean ‘halmoni’ in Seoul, I was particularly grateful to see Taiwan care about their own ‘Amas’. Educating the public must not stop. Smthg to work on? @NextGenTaiwan @kuantingvision

Definitely! Any attempt at building a cmprhnsv #WomenEmpowerment strategy will remain futile unless we consider the historical context. The museum does a great job telling stories of #ComfortWomen &making their exhibits more accessible to 🌍 public would make for a good 1⃣️step
