In 1989, the prospect of #freedom filled people of Eastern Europe&East Asia with hope for a better tomorrow. In #Czechia and #Taiwan, this hope became reality. In China, the long record of moral support of #democracy and #HumanRights left by Václav #Havel has been forgotten.

This is why Prague has more in common with 🇹🇼 than with 🇨🇳, Minister Wang. Czechia&Taiwan suffered from authoritarian oppression. Today, we boldly say in unison: Never Again! The visit of our 🇨🇿 friends is not a "defiant move"-it's a nod to President Havel's legacy to humanity.
