Environmentally- and user-friendly libraries are a pride of Taipei. We heard it, for example, from our partners at @SFPublicLibrary. The green Beitou Library is a success story and I hope KH City Govt @chimaichen will use the Meinong Lib for its #publicdiplomacy as well.
📚As a proud bibliophile, I would absolutely love to! Kudos to your office for such a successful design - I particularly like the explicit references to Hakka culture.
Back in TPE City Govt, @yehaoqin and I investigated library revitalization projects for the capital [1/2]
So glad to see our chic southern metropolis, #Kaohsiung, on @nytimes
list of 52 Places to Love in 2021. This is great for Taiwan's #softpower.
My personal recs for KH: the Pier 2 駁二 art district in the docks&the charming #Hakka community of Meinong

A lot has changed since Taiwan has become a vibrant democracy and China has become even further authoritarian. It’s more than about time to make working together for a free and prosperous Indo-Pacific easier.

We’ve been fortunate to have peaceful transitions of power since democratization and need to make sure this continues to happen by being vigilant in regards to verifying sources when sharing news.

On this appearance on Formosa TV I discussed the certification process of Biden’s electoral college win and the perils of disinformation as seen by the violence at the U.S Capitol building.

This cold wave was brought to Taiwan by La Niña, a regular occurrence in the Pacific Region. But we ought to bear in mind that the #ClimateCrisis forces us to face more extreme climate phenomena than ever - this harm our nature, people, and business. We need to act NOW!

❄ Stay warm, #Taipei friends! Today our capital experienced 1st snowfall in five years-atop Yangmingshan's Qixingshan.
🥶 But the cold wave is not only about cute snow selfies and mulled wine: 10 people have already lost their lives (more than victims of COVID-19 in Taiwan)!
