It is a fashion for example when £5,083k is £5,038,000 and putting this or £5.038m would look bad and may lead to questions. 🤨
Seems the new fashion way to make large sums look smaller is: £xxxk, which actually is xxx*1000. So... £1000k is 1000*1000=1,000,000 🙄
