From Refaat: I Went for a walk in Gaza City soon after the truce began. Complete and utter destruction. Homes, buildings, mosques, public gardens, schools, water pipes, power poles. Israeli invaders were not looking for anything or anybody. They were just wreaking havoc and vengeance on Palestinian citizens and their lives.

You can blame Hamas who wants genocide of Israel rather than peace with its neighbor. Palestinian leaders have rejected all peace deals for their own state for decades of it means israel is to exist. Israel has made peace with all who seek peace with them.

Tragic story. Now back in reality, the Israelis were looking for Hamas. Weโ€™ve seen the evidence of Hamas using civilian areas and infrastructure for military activity. What do you expect from IDF who need to treat literally every building as a possible Hamas fighting position?
