I received an invite from the Biden administration for a Diwali event being held by the VP on nov 8. I decline any invitation from an institution that supports the collective punishment of a trapped civilian population—50% of whom are children.

I know I have a dark cynical sense of humour (for which many hate me), but I wrote that poem to rupi kuar in all earnest. I appreciate her courage and if I live through this, I will teach her poetry to my poetry students at @IUGAZA

I’m a Sikh woman and some of her poetry makes me cringe. I appreciate her but this made me laugh so hard. I check every day on Twitter to make sure you and your family are okay. Although I know that no one can ever be okay in that situation…
