Some including Palestinians in the diaspora only retweet Jewish sources. This means: 1. Any support of Palestine must come after proving they are not anti-Semitic. This helps bigots always link Palestine falsely to anti-semitism. 2. Palestinians are pushed to the back seat.

I see this phenomenon too and it makes me sick. No one needs Jewish approval before stating their view.

It is a big problem. It is the same as people mourning “women and children” and discounting the heroic men who are suffering and resisting as well. The same kind of racism that leaves so many black American men to rot in prison.

Unfortunately the opinion of the white man matters more to the west.

We must always centre Palestinian voices, especially Gazan voices. Palestinians are speaking eloquently about themselves and they are the only validation we need.

I understand but at this point any voice coming from wherever it matters for the support of Palestine, US media had decades to build and train these minds. Social media is the first wave of change. Gotta start somewhere. We need to follow and spread our voices more.

It’s irritating because we should be past the point of tiptoeing around peoples feelings. If you’re supporting Palestine you shouldnt still be trying to prove that you adhere to the western standard of what is acceptable to talk about, when we’re fighting genocide

Not exactly, but it helps debunk the Israeli claims to Palestinian land and that Israel represents all the Jews. Israel trying to excommunicate anti Zionist Jews and its aggression towards them is revealing you have to admit.

The fear is real. The cost is real. People situations are different. Some think what will be gained by risking taking even a small stand for justice and truth?
