I’m Noor a 20 years old girl from Gaza, l have lived so many wars through my life but this one is defiantly is the hardest. For 30 days now the Israeli forces continue to cut off the electricity and water on the whole Gaza strip and applying a complete siege on the Strip, no food no drinking water no vegetables, fruits no medicines or any personal needs have entered the Strip for 30 days and every thing in the stores has almost ran out, we have money but there is nothing left in the stores to buy not the basic needs and of course nor the secondary like sanitary pad and I want to highlight on this topic because its extremely difficult and unfortunately no one is talking about because all of the death and the nonstop bombing, we women are suffering more in this war, there are 2.2 million people in the Gaza Strip almost 1million woman between the age 14-50 who will defiantly have period at least once (many women are having periods multiple times in the same month due to the fear and changing in the hormones ) and they need the sanitary pads and other personal items which its completely difficult to get right now, we tried to cop with the situations as much as we can but everything now seems impossible, many older woman took the bills to delay or prevent the menstruation and if you’ll ask where they get from its available in the pharmacies because they barley been using it before the aggression but now they were forced to, girls have lost their safety and privacy especially during this time of the month because most of us are not in our homes its either we are staying with relatives or in the shelters and schools and I have to say this is a whole story of suffering by itself, almost 1.1 million were forced to displaced by the occupation Israeli forces from the north to the south so these places became very crowded, hundreds are sharing the same toilet girls need to stay in line for a long time to use the bathroom, there is no enough water for them to shower, no warm or comfy place to sleep on and of course no pain killers are available.
Before war I used to handle it very well I drink hot soup, take a warm shower everyday, take pain killer if I needed now I sleep on the floor sharing the space with 15 person its cold, no safe place no water we barely eat, they are killing us in every possible way.
