After peddling the lie of Hamas beheading babies, western media are once again promoting an easily debunked deception from Israel. President Isaac Herzog says a Hamas fighter killed in Israel was carrying a manual on how to make chemical weapons. EXCEPT: The manual is *not* about how to make chemical weapons. It is a short online biography of Ramzi Yousef, who was jailed for trying to bomb the World Trade Center in 1993. Israel is trying to manipulate westerners into thinking Hamas is the same as al-Qaeda and Islamic State. Why? So we will be more sympathetic to the idea of destroying Gaza and care less about Israel's campaign of atrocities. Even assuming this document is genuine, and not planted, evidence, it suggests only that Hamas – caged into Gaza, like its other 2.3 million inhabitants – is trying to develop new guerrilla tactics to free Gaza from 15 years of a slow-motion, genocidal siege. The answer to that isn't to deepen the reasons for Palestinian grievance by speeding up the genocide. It's to stop the genocide.

Part of Israel’s psychological terror is this Israeli number (and others) calling random Palestinians and threatening to bomb their homes and places causing panic and fear. Yesterday, the number rang three of my family members staying in the same room.

Going out to buy bread. 7am. The only bakery in the area is closed and there are already a hundred people queuing. Pray we buy bread and Israel does not bomb the bakery or the queue.
