A reminder that home management systems should never rely on services outside the local network in order to function.

Makes one wonder exactly what kind of data they are harvesting. (and another reason to ban any IoT from my home)

I took the precaution of removing all my "dumb" bulbs from their sockets this morning and writing "I agree to the new terms of service" in marker pen before replacing them. Just so I wouldn't feel left out.

That's one way to comply.

Love it when companies throw a tempertantrum over new regulation instead of trying to work with it to come up with a better solution
