I don't think they only use time division, they also use frequency spreading
to get a proper cage you need to do more effort than a thin AL skin with wholes around the plane. the wavelength is cm here. it can escape.
car produces lots of EMC noise inside. can harm 4G. also 4G does just work properly under 120kmh - doppler effect.
