Yeah printers have been doing this for ages, that's why I only transcribe stuff off my screen onto vellum parchment with a fountain pen.

Most office workers are not aware of it and it is quite tricky to remove. Good quality (aka not fax machine) scan would still show the dots.
Yeah, to me it sounds like a blogger tooting own horn by pushing a theory and everyone is taking it at face value, despite no evidence.
It could be true, but unless more info surfaces it could have been aliens exfiltrating the documents as well.
Well, that wouldn't be the first time. I am more concerned that NSA contractor didn't think of this and that NSA is so "porous" recently.

Using an NSA printer seems like a pretty dumb thing to do. Probably took them an entire hour to know who leaked the document with certainty.
