Not gonna lie, as a disabled person who needs the medication to be able to remember to take it in the first place, this would benefit me.

but an app would do this with more reliability

I have several apps. You still have to manually enter that you took the medication. There's no automatic way it logs that.

i see how that could be good, but i also find it hard to believe it'll be reliable enough on its own

Yeah I'd definitely double it up with a reminder app but when it comes to medication management every little helps.
