the problem is trying to tell the user about something the site is doing wrong like this means the user think *they* did the thing wrong

nope, wi-fi signal should be encrypted and this problem is solved by now, you get even more warnings on public wifi
moreover our services DO NOT WORK WITH PRIVATE DATA. Period. We work with public data and Universities-licensed data, which is protected
