don't know if it was the fact that they were locked with a physical key and the only way to configure them was a webpage that took 15 minutes to work after boot, or that if you did it wrong you could ddos yourself

We almost went with the Google box back when I was working my corporate job, but I convinced my team to go with IBM Watson search instead. Far better product for a corporate search platform.

Internal Google search was pretty excellent. I made a positive impression on my new team by integrating Google search into our team wiki, whose internal search function was useless.

The fact these have impressive looking but no doubt laughable physical security makes me wonder if anyone has broken into one of these and made an image of whatever proprietary shit is running on them. Bet you can’t Google it tho.
