How do you opt out of someone drunk driving near you. Or texting and driving. Or falling asleep while driving. Or just plain sucking at driving.

Well, by making those things illegal I guess. Which they already all are. And humans have to pass a test to be allowed on the road.

By law, and by Tesla terms of conditions, humans still have to be in full control of a FSD vehicle, including hands on the wheel at all times. In fact there’s more restriction and oversight for a Tesla FSD vehicle than for a standard car.

That can only be done for a limited amount of time before the system alerts you and eventually forces a pull over. Like I said, you can’t opt out of people driving stupid, but FSD is an added precaution with more restrictions than a person alone.
