This is actually really dystopian. Could you imagine a future where drivers don't even bother looking out for cyclists because "the app will look after it". Then people start dying when they have technical issues or if they are too poor to afford the monthly subscription.

also this isn't really a problem in europe, in part because driving lessons are mandatory here can't get a license just from having your uncle teach you on a weekend like in the US
