Good news: there's an API for nest stuff again after it was cut off for a year Bad news: you can't use any of the nest stuff if you have a G Suite account 💀

I almost think this is because, when you’re paying for G Suite, they can’t look as deeply into your accounts and activity, thus, they can’t learn as much about usage patterns. @jeffjarvis

it's because they're lazy and hate gsuite users but also that sure

Moving all of my directions API stuff away from Google. Way overpriced and not as good as open source alternatives.

“I looked into it more deeply and I found that apparently what happened is that GSuite was deprecated five years ago and no one ever announced it, but through some kind of glitch in PM, it still gets support. So we just went ahead and fixed the glitch.”

Hey @gsuite - so many things that don't work with your platform. Not looking forward to it, but I clearly need to ditch my G.Suite account, move my domain to normal hosting and then work out the most seamless way to get a normal Google account to interwork with that

you can't use half of their shit if you have a gsuite account google music keeps nagging me to move all the music i put on there in 2010 to their new "youtube music" system except the new "youtube music" system doesn't work with my account like at least stop sending nag emails

I have heard of a lot of stupid things, but not being able to use products that they offer because you pay for G Suite is probably up there in terms of the worst.

And you have to pay $5, even if it’s just for your own purchased devices. Seriously wtf @googlenest ?
