As someone who lives in a country where the only reasonable way to get a reasonable price for car insurance is installing an app that monitors you constantly......... ...fuck this
Having your car automatically upload driving data so that insurance companies can “customise” premiums. What could possibly go wrong. theregister.com/2020/08/18/a…

In your country, how much do you have to deposit to drive without insurance? I think it's £200k deposited to the MOT, in the uk. (bus companies do this sort of thing) I can only assume wherever you are is so sewn-up with laws that competing insurers can't get started up.

Where i live you can’t even take ownership of a car without having insurance. Driving without insurance here is very illegal AFAIK

To what extent? What if you buy an unroadworthy car, for driving about on fields and private roads, for example? Insurance laws are so damn complicated, that the actual law is unintuitive, especially to people who need to follow it. Exploits abound, if you have money though.
