Hello from NZ. My annual car registration costs £55. That includes all injury insurance, because we nationalised it years ago. And that means the fully comp cover on my 3.5V6 costs £280 a year.

Everyone is covered for injury / loss of income irrespective of whether the driver paid for insurance. So it's only the damage to property at risk and the reality is my insurance covers me if someone drives into me... so only the NCD. Insurance companies love compulsion
