it is absolutely bananas to me that anyone would put a facebook product with a camera in it in their home

FB Portal is a killer product which doesn’t get the attention it deserves. With Zoom integration, it’s going to be *so much* better than having a webcam.

I am amused by how many cameras people have in their house without realizing. I mean, there's always Alexa and Google assistants if you want to get "light" spying with a side of sinister. 🤷‍♂️

I mean... I don’t see how portal could be any better than Zoom on an iPad. Those have pretty good cameras and noise cancellation. And I trust Apple a bit more than FB.
