it is absolutely bananas to me that anyone would put a facebook product with a camera in it in their home

FB Portal is a killer product which doesn’t get the attention it deserves. With Zoom integration, it’s going to be *so much* better than having a webcam.

I was so dead set in my thinking about Portal until my brother in law got a couple for my in-laws and I no longer have to suffer chin-cams during calls. Also the people tracking is amazing. ...now I kind of want one
