If someone wants to send me their dead Mellow Sous-Vide when the company turns off the servers, I could try and replace the controller :) I did this with my Wink Pivot Power strip as opposed to paying their fee.

All iot devices should be made in such a manner that they are able to work without internet as well. I can't imagine a future where i'm taking a dump and bidet won't work cuz it requires a software update
