@tayls1993 yeah-ish, try it for yourself.

@Totalbiscuit maybe, just maybe it's dying? Or is windows defraging it? Check the SMART status and then run a chkdsk /r /f on it.

@Fleetsy slow it down maybe, things happen way too fast. Spread it out over more frames and turn the fps down just a bit.
@CalumAdams you don't need that much. The new bulldozer chips are bad, the Phenom IIs can out preform them.
@CalumAdams yeah, you can't disable those checks these days, how much RAM you rocking?
@CalumAdams the 7xxx cards might be out by then, Windows 8 will bring DX12, although there won't be any DX12 for awhile. Just wait and see.
@CalumAdams memory and system checks, yes the more memory means the longer it takes to check it all, more memory = longer startup.
@CalumAdams it's a good game, it can make some systems cry
@CalumAdams if you've got the cash, go for it, just make sure you motherboard, CPU and psu can take another card.
@CalumAdams there aren't many graphically ground breaking games on the PC due to consoles but try Metro 2033 and BF3.
@CalumAdams of course it does compared to today's standards but back in '07 even the best computers made it a slideshow.
@CalumAdams no, you're just playing it 4 years too late and for the wrong reasons.
Oh my fucking god, why didn't anyone tell me about kexec before!? Loading a new kernel, without waiting for all that shitty hardware int

@Fleetsy AMD/ATI cards have a terrible history of having extremely shitty drivers, they say "no drivers" because you're better off without.

@Fleetsy HD 6380G.. Enjoy your NO DRIVERS. On a more serious note, nice specs for a good price, looks good.

@Fleetsy your kinetic typography thing, it looked promising, all 6 seconds of it, maybe you could finish it (do the whole song) one day.

Ubuntu software centre is really inefficient, the old gnome-app-install (Add/Remove) was way better. Mind you this is on 10.04.
