Yay @PancakesCon! Making your social distancing a whole lot more social—plus, you know, the learning and all...
Sign up for our CFP here: docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1F… This is happening fast, so please sign up quickly if you're available for the virtual con next Sunday. All talks must be 1/2 on an introductory hacking / infosec topic and 1/2 on any other hobby topic.

It's all good to have the kid’s noise in the background, pets barking, internet bandwidth challenges due to all of the streaming devices during your work from home calls. Don't stress too much about it.

Patterns are important at a time when so many of our normal patterns are disrupted. Suggest taking “extra” submissions and turning them into daily programming so people have new content at a regular time each day (and archives to watch whenever).

Us garbagemen are gonna keep collecting the garbage, doctors and nurses are gonna keep doctoring and nurse-ering. It’s gonna be ok, we’re gonna make it be ok. I love my city. I love my country. I love my planet Earth. Be good to each other and we’ll get through this. 💕

Very minimal—labs use a Linux VMware image with 4GB of RAM, and you’ll need maybe 100GB of free disk space

Though @MontereyAq is closed, our webcams are still streaming. Until we reopen, you can check in on the sea otters, sway with the kelp forest, find tranquility with the jellies and look for wildlife out on Monterey Bay: mbayaq.co/39Xv9Ny

I believe the plan is to keep the training on US/Central time, the home time zone of the event. Most likely 9am to 5pm (09:00 to 17:00).

Detecting Lateral Movement with WinSCP buff.ly/2wYa5aY >> Excellent overview by @maridegrazia. Some big wins here to detect use of the new Windows OpenSSH capability via event logs, the local "sshd" account, and more. A brave new world for Windows....

My new two-day Linux Forensics class is happening at Kernelcon in Omaha, Mar 25-26. And I'll be treating one randomly selected attendee to dinner at one of my favorite Omaha restaurants! kernelcon.org/agenda#linfn6

OTOH, if I'm an evil-doer then making it more difficult to compress your disks (or take a forensic image) might be a perk!

Deleted my last tweet because my "fullstat" function had some issues depending on your arg list. A better Linux stat function based on debugfs is deer-run.com/~hal/fullstat.t…
