Remember that anytime you try to do something good, there are forces (and people…lots of people) that will try to pull you back. Probably people that you *used to respect as well. Don’t stop. Welcome the pressure because when you get to the other side it won’t matter!

So far so good for me. Some injection site soreness but otherwise fine.

I've seen some really strong people utterly wiped out by a case of shingles. Vaccine seems like an easy call.

Amen. One day we will be free to travel again and I'll give you a shout when I'm nearby.

Or maybe you have found a group of people who accept you for who you are, not who you think you should be. Namaste, my friends.

I remember feeling the same way. If your institution has the opportunity for independent study for credit, that can be a good way to keep going by digging into something that interests you.

Get your shingles vaccine if you are over 50! I finally reached my tipping point after enough anecdotal evidence from friends/family who'd suffered through a bout. Maybe this message will prompt YOU to vaccinate!

Make an appointment. Don’t tell them you’ve already been vaxxed. Get the Pfizer vaccine if you can.

Even introverts miss their people and get cabin fever after a while.

Are we really looking at another Fall/Winter of cancelled events and virtual meetings? When effective vaccines are widely available in the USA? Sad and frustrating.

I needed this tweet. Thank @k8em0 for bringing it into my feed.
Maybe most iconic example of responding to user feedback ever: “After a 5-year-old blind girl wrote a letter to Mr. Rogers asking him to tell her when he fed his fish so she doesn't worry about them going hungry, he began narrating the feeding of his goldfish in every episode”

The US Congress is returning to their homes after failing to extend the eviction moratorium. The fact that a nation as wealthy as ours has anybody unhoused, food insecure, or lacking in medical care is proof that our government is failing the people. #EvictCongress

Lot of people asking how to gain forensics skills right off the street now. I got myself into this 🤷🏻‍♀️🍸. Best way to start to learn forensics is to *do it on your own Windows computer* (preferably physical). Start with basic sysinternals tools. @markrussinovich’s books are great.

Autopsy and TSK are free and get you a long way. Carrier’s “File System Forensic Analysis” is a good spend here.

I'm still learning to be a better boss and only look "good" when compared to other CEOs because the bar is so depressingly low. Listen to your employees, trust them, reward them. They are responsible for a company's success - not CEOs.

CISO or CIO is just one possible track. There are always other options.
I see a lot of my InfoSec buddies posting that they want to be or will be a great CISO someday... I wish them best of luck! I have been in this industry for over 20 years and still like to get my hands dirty! Remember it's folks like us that make you look good!
