@attrc @imhlv2 @gleeda Is it a good practice to run lmg on Linux production servers on a monthly basis?

It hangs on a laptop for around 3-4 minutes when I run it, but for a 4GB VM, it takes less than 1 min.

but yes, getting the memory sample & then deep analyze it is a good practice

I and the sysadmin are worried because it hangs up while we log in via SSH right after we run lmg -y .

LMG hangs or the whole system hangs? The time LMG takes should be linear with the amount of RAM.

It seems like the whole system hang (it slows down the whole system) but LMG doesn't hang, if we stop LMG it stops the hang.

But overall, it's ok because the average load (by top) is 1.x and the server could provide the service.

I retest and monitor, it affects the services like the response time increase from 0.3 to 2.x seconds.
