Maybe it's not the MOOC provider's responsibility to vet the students. Employers must still verify capabilities of new hires.

Legislatures seduced by MOOC providers. I like MOOC but there is online cheating problem now. MOOC scales up the problem.

Employers that substitute credentials- whatever their source- for due diligence are setting themselves up for failure.

No one except EDUs are worried about verification. Solve authentication problem then do MOOCs not the other way around.
