So, about training. Is anyone interested in in-person training anymore? Is it still too soon? Has remote training proved to be of equal quality with less risk and inconvenience? Will it ever go back to the way it was pre-COVID? Does it make a difference if aligned with a con?

Speaking as an instructor, I miss in-person training. I miss being with the audience and getting instant non-verbal feedback.

So would you say that cameras have not been an acceptable replacement for that feedback?

Not at all. Generally the students see my video but I don’t see them.

Interesting. I am getting similar feedback from almost all of my trainer peers. I seem to be the only one that doesn't have this problem. While I won't say everyone turns them on, there's always enough to receive a comfortable level of visual feedback.

For me there's something about being in the same room with attendees and sharing that energy

For sure. Cameras definitely don't make it a 1:1. There is absolutely a loss, just not sure it's enough to overcome the massive gains in convenience. It'll be interesting to see where things go from here. Thank you for your perspective and input Hal.
