I confess that I don’t get Kraft mac n cheese. One box pasta, 8oz shredded cheese, butter, and milk and you can have more and better mac n cheese in the same amount of time with basically the same steps.

There's a swath of foods I don't get. Box cake mixes are NOT much harder than scratch made. Others, I worry when someone tells me to make from scratch. Puff pastry, yes... I have made it. No, you're wrong... it's not at all better than the pre-made.
