The clock is ticking! Always wondered why someone has not done this before; especially since it is one lane. Then I thought, they MUST do some checks of the boats, etc and then I laughed at myself. Great black swan event and risk analysis topic.

While highly disruptive, it'd actually be better in your scenario. Trying to keep that ship intact is what's slowing down the operation. If they could just cut it up, it'd be much further along already.
