I explain XOR function and put 'A' in binary up. I then put '4' in binary up. me: OK out loud, tell me zero or one a bit at a time we XOR. Moments later: the instructor next to us runs in "the hell is going on, you reading in binary?" me: yeah. fun with fundamentals! fin

If the class next door was rowdy, I’d agree on a hand-signal with my class that meant they should break into “spontaneous” laughing, cheering, cat-calls, etc. Then I’d throw the hand sign a few times per day. Neighboring instructors would always ask me for my “secret”.
