Most of the NetBSD crew that showed up was from Japan, and their talks focused on IPv6/KAME support. Many were looking to punch Theo from OpenBSD for some reason, and everybody else just drank and talked. Was a lot of fun. I never saw the 1.2 release... hmmm

IIRC, he gave some BS answer for skipping that, but he was there for 2000 - pretty much the entire FreeBSD core team at the time was there. OpenBSD probably had bout 6-7 core members there, but they weren't as structured as the FreeBSD team. (I still have stickers and swag!)

but yeah... Hal, if you were there, you remember the McKusick drinking game during his history talk, right? (and the dinner cruise under the Golden Gate where everybody was on deck with their lasers bouncing them off the glass of Alcatraz)

Actually I wasn’t there. But I know PHK, Kirk and Eric, Theo et al. Haven’t spoken to any of them in ages.
