When did everyone change their mind and start thinking Zoom was substantially private and secure? I’m not downplaying all the societally relevant security research happening now, but we’ve kind of been through this all before.

Zoom is absolutely the easiest conferencing platform out there. Tons of new users are signing up completely unaware of the security issues because they have never been in this space before. It's ignorance, not changing minds.

My dad’s church vestry executive meeting will be on Zoom, and my m-i-l’s city-run yoga class is also now on Zoom. I’m going to TV into both machines and set all the appropriate settings.
