Do you link to people on LinkedIn that you've never actually met? Suppose one of them asked for a 30 min Zoom call for career advice-- would you take that meeting at a mutually convenient time?

I’m not a member, but I believe Wim in trying to move the org in a better direction. If you are a member, please support his campaign.
Less than a week in, I'm one endorsement away from 25% of the endorsements needed. Please leverage any network you may have to spread the word. We need all members to come together.

Please people, if you're ever facing the choice of "Should I watch porn on my company-provided laptop or my own personal computer?" please do everybody a favor and use your own equipment. #HateInternalInvestigations

This could make for a fun season
I’ve got a great idea for a new @survivorcbs season! Do BLOOD vs. WATER where everyone on the other tribe has a “blood” relation. The twist? No one knows who the relatives are. Reveal? Keep it a secret? Sabotage to help loved ones? Think of the layers! #Survivor 🩸💧

As the bars close, a brawl early this morning in downtown Orlando escalates into a mass shooting as somebody opens fire into the crowd. Where are the “good people with guns”? Or how about more mental health support? OR HOW ABOUT TAKING FUCKING HANDGUNS OUT OF CIRCULATION?

De Santis is dangerous and has a good chance of being our next President.
Ron DeSantis filed a public complaint against a bar that does drag brunch. In the complaint, he references a 1947 ruling that "men impersonating women in a suggestive fashion" is against the law. They are building the framework to go after all drag, and likely all trans people.

It breaks my heart too, Cliff…
Met Cliff Stoll in 1998, shortly after his book was released & after reading it. Then several other times at conferences and work project. This is a must read, to understand Cliff & cybersecurity. Thank you @a_greenberg and @WIRED for the excellent story. wired.com/story/meet-the-mad…

The four-day format is so new that we have not yet had a chance to record it for on demand. What you are seeing at Antisyphon is the v1 2-day version.

For those who missed it on Friday, I've updated my Linux Forensics class to four days and as usual made the content freely available linkedin.com/posts/halpomera…

Given how we effectively weaponized smallpox to take out various native populations in the 19th century, I am going to find it ironic if monkeypox is what takes us out in the 21st.

Congrats! Only one of my three will even touch it.

Reminds me of the near panic I saw in the eyes of my Australian friend when he understood that we were visiting a “dry” community and would not be able to drink for 48 hours.
