Or use IFS to make things cleaner:

You can do it without the loop. Assign your timestring back into $1 and set $2='' (nullstring). Then just "print" will dump the entire revised line.

You’ll forgive me if this response sounds like a delaying tactic from a brand who doesn’t want to get confrontational with guests who refuse to wear masks. I will be returning to this area in June and we will see just how serious your “commitment to clean” really is.

Staff at the Fort Lauderdale @Marriott Coral Springs Hotel and Convention Center are not enforcing mask wearing in the lobby and other public spaces. Multiple lobby groups not wearing masks in full view of the front desk staff. Zero enforcement. Shall I call the Health Dept?

Florida's legislature has approved new election legislation that would place restrictions on ballot drop boxes and voting by mail.
It would also limit who can hand out items, including food and water, to voters waiting in line.
