@codeslack WinXP (SP 2 or 3, not sure). Machine is not part of a domain, user account does have Admin rights.
@jtrajewski Says he encrypted the folder via the "Properties" checkbox-- is that EFS?
@4n6woman It's the standard Windows "encrypted folder" thing-- it should just transparently unlock when he logs in, but it's not working.

LE friend has a Windows machine with encrypted folder. Unable to access files this morning. Any suggestions on how to get access again?
