@davehull Not much the devs can do short of making shred set-UID and going at the raw disk devices directly...
@robtlee I like getting re-exposed to the Windows stuff-- more sticks each time. And getting to play around w/ FTK was useful.

@shrdlu Technically, the kid gets a year for obstruction (tried to delete evidence of the crime). Mostly he get a year for being a doofus.
Forensic note: when a Unix file is removed with shred, the indirect blocks DO NOT get overwritten. Could be an interesting indicator.

@incanus77 Also, on advice from the Internet people, I did my iOS 4.x install by forcing the phone into recovery mode and doing full install
@incanus77 I found that turning off Spotlight helped somewhat with the performance on my 3G. Still kind of sucks.
Making forensic tool testing images. Forcing file fragmentation in EXT3 is harder than you might think.
Body on West Coast, body clock on Central Time, add in time change and what do you get? Hal awake at 2am. Got a bunch of work done though!

Getting off plane w/ passenger who let their dog roam freely. Dog stopped and marked territory at the top of the jetway. Um, ewww...
Saturday travel is really kind of a pleasure. The airports and planes are empty. I should do this more often when I have to travel.
