Ah, the TweetDeck account issue is a known bug with the iPhone version-- can't handle "-" in email addresses (read the RFCs, dudes...)
Tried TweetDeck on the iPhone. Won't let me sign into the TweetDeck account I created with the desktop version. No sync = FAIL.
