Replying to @mochicrunk
@mochicrunk Hex numbering scheme excellent. You should start adopting the #YESIVE convention for searchability.
RT @laprice: http://bit.ly/zShO The Amish approach to technology is different than you think (fascinating)
@quine You know SANS 2009 will be going on in Orlando the first week in March. You should stop by and meet up with the twits...
@metacortex "sudo find / -name <file> | sudo xargs rm -f" is considerably faster b/c it doesn't respawn rm for each file
@kevinkenan It's past midnight UTC I guess...
Hal's got a blog at Wordpress: http://RighteousIT.wordpress.com/ (permalink to first article: http://is.gd/j6Iq) Enjoy!
RT @strata (thru many others) The $300mil button http://bit.ly/mixC #itfail
@kevinkenan Indeed. Or InfoSec makes firewall changes without notice. It's a pervasive organizational pathology in most cases.
RT @kevinbehr http://blog.kevinbehr.com/?p=28 (Oh, gods! It's like a horrible acid flashback. Mommy, make the scary story man go away!)
RT @devilok #itfail http://is.gd/j0lk (a DoS attack with an 8-figure price tag)
@edskoudis #rightthinkingoscommands Addtl notes: substitute "kill `ps -ef | awk /mole/ {print $2}`" on systems w/o pkill command
@edskoudis I'm not understanding the "ping" command at the end of your latest shell blob. What behavior are you looking for here?
RT @twist3done/@daylea02 http://is.gd/iZuq "delay may be a sign that DNSSEC is harder to deploy than previously thought" (gee, ya think?)

RT @kevinkenan http://bit.ly/YmUK (inspired silliness)
Are we creating a generation of InfoSec pros with no real-world IT operations experience? Is this a bad thing?
http://xkcd.com/541/ -- I wonder about this too (btw, read the alt-text... classic)
RT @quine/@daveg_mtso http://thisiswhyyourefat.com/ (yikes!)
